Oh No - Off the Rails!!!

Alrighty There People!

Well, you may have noticed that I haven't posted for a while. Hmmm. That's because last week my diet went off the rails! Well, not totally...

I forgot to keep track of what I was eating each day, and then on Friday I went shopping for the day, which included an indulgent coffee break, followed by a scrumptious lasagne at Frankie and Benny's - I'm gonna post pics of both of those later - and then following that I had things like Toblerone, sweets, McDonald's milk shakes, etc, etc.

However, I am back on track now - hopefully - I haven't weighed myself recently.

I've recorded my intakings for Monday and Tuesday, which I will post here later.

I need to lose weight. Aaargh!

Alrighty There People!

Well, I went around to parent's house tonight - that always means eating something that I shouldn't....

A quiet day all in all, here are the incomings:

09:00 - Rice Krispies with semi skimmed milk

09:15 - Muller Drink

13:20 - Carrott and Coriander 'Good For You' Soup

13:30 - 2 brown bread buns

13:40 - Tropical juice

13:50 - Muller Healthy Balance yogurt

16:00 - 'Good For You' Chocolate Bar

17:30 - Black coffee

19:00 - Lasagne

19:30 - Ice Cream, Strawberries and Bananas

19:40 - 1 cup of water

21:00 - 1 stick of Bueno Kinder chocolate

Well, I wasn't toooooo bad today, really... And that soup was lovely at lunchtime... really nice.

And my dessert tonight did contain fruit... along with the ice cream :)

I love Saturdays - a day to chill out, relax, recover from work and prepare yourself for the week ahead!

I didn't do a great deal today, and, to be honest, didn't eat a great deal either...

Friday - man, I love Friday!

I watched Mission Impossible 3 tonight - I know, taken my time to get to that, but I finally watched it. But you know what - sit down in front of a good film - you know what happens...

And, I was out to family for food tonight, so that's never a good thing is it!

I wish I could shut myself away for a month, and just eat carrots and drink water. Then I would lose some serious weight!

Anyway, today's incomings were as follows:

Day 24 - Wednesday 14th February 2007 (Valentines Day)

Alrighty There People!

Well, back into the pattern of work. Groan. Another long day, another kind of successful day - but another day without exercise or photos. Sorry.

I'm kinda losing the determination to do this - I keep looking in the mirror and seeing no difference. I get on the scales, and they rocket around to over 13 and a half stone - I don't know exactly how much I weigh because I can't see those tiny little lines (I think I need a set of digital scales...)

Anyway, maybe I'm just having a bad day.

Here's todays incomings:

Okay, so reading back over that, can pick out... chocolate... chocolate... chocolate... chocolate. Great. Am I failing in this diet? Is my motivation waning? Is my desire to lose weight lessening? I'm going on holiday in the summer - I WANT to be slimmer for that. That is my desire. That is my goal. That is my endpoint. I want to lose at least 2 stone by July 2007. I NEED to reach that goal.

Your help, comments, suggestions, support, motivation and advice are much needed and appreciated.

Back to work today, what a shame. Was extremely busy, as I had a shed load of work to catch up on. It's just not worth the hassle, this being sick malarkey...

So after a shattering day, here's my incomings:

Now that I have totally shaken off Man Flu (and it didn't half put up a fight!), I feel a lot better. So I am determined to get on that exercise bike and accelerate my weight loss. I'm also going to resume taking pictures, so you can see if any progress has been made.

I had a holiday from work today (I know, off sick most of last week, holiday this week - naughty naughty!) But it was only today. It was so busy though - spent all morning driving around, picking up people, dropping off people, helping people - I was wrecked! Had a nice quiet afternoon though, which was fab.

Anyway, today's incomings were as follows:

Well, a nice, quiet day today, although still fighting off the last remains of Man Flu.

Well, I think that I am finally overcoming Man Flu. It's taken longer than I expected, but I think I am there. And, in the same way that I was victorious in my fight against the flu, I will win against the weight...

Alrighty There People!

Another day off work, recovering from Man Flu. I suppose that having Man Flu is, in effect, helping me lose weight, as I have completely lost my apetite. No food, no weight gain. No weight gain - excellent!

I need to take a tape measure to my waist, to see if I have indeed dropped any flab - that would be a very nice weekend present indeed :)

Anyway, following a long, deep sleep, I decided to rouse myself out of bed today, and here are today's incomings:

12:30 - Cocopops with Semi skimmed milk

12:40 - Black coffee

15:15 - Beans on toast, sprinkled with cheese... mmm

15:25 - 1 glass of water

15:30 - 1 Hazelnut yogurt

18:00 - 1 black coffee

19:00 - Potatoes, beef, peas, broccolli...

19:45 - Ice cream and jamaica cake....

22:00 - Hot chocolate

Okay, so having ice cream and cake isn't exactly conducive to losing weight... but I call it comfort food, to console me from my Man Flu :)

Alrighty There People!

Man Flu - my word. How long does this last? I got up to take my wife to work today, got back at 10.00am. Went to bed. Woke up at 3.00pm! What's that all about then?

And, I wasn't even hungry, despite not eating since the night before. And I could have slept for another 42 hours, I reckon...

So anyway, I haven't eaten much at all... here's today's incomings:

15:00 - Cocopops with semi skimmed milk (that's right - breakfast. Hmmm...)

15:15 - Muller Drink

16:35 - Kellogg's Oat Bar

18:30 - Cheeseburger from McDonalds

I've not uploaded any photos for a while - to be honest, who wants to see my stubble, bleary eyes, and hagard looking face? Forget the weight loss, I look 40 now!

Weighed myself, by the way - need to get some digital scales, cos I can't read all them tiny bars - so don't know exactly what I am, but I am closer to 13 1/2 than I am to 14 - so I must be doing something right!

Alrighty There People!

Wow - the 2 week point. Didn't actually think I would make it this far, but I have.

Cool.

Unfortunately, still suffering from Man Flu at the moment - this time it might take me down for good...

I made a Smoothie today... Melon, Pineapple, Hazelnut yogurt. It was... interesting. But I'm not making that one again!!!

Anyway, today's incomings were:

11:00 - Coco Pops with Semi skimmed milk (hey, its Sunday!)

11:20 - Muller Drink

12:30 - Aforementioned Smoothie (a whole pint of it!)

13:30 - Pasta

14:00 - Vitamin enriched water (yuk!)

21:00 - Kellogg's Oat Bar

21:05 - 1 glass of water

22:00 - Hot chocolate with all the trimmings!

So that was today. Didn't eat much, didn't do any exercise due to being more than nearly half dead :)

Well, Saturday's are always busy, and as such I don't have time to eat much, nor drink much. However, my main problem on a Saturday is my tendency to nip into a shop and buy a couple of bars of chocolate...

So how did I do today? Read on to find out...

09:00 - Shreddies with semi skimmed milk

09:15 - Muller drink

11:50 - Black coffee, 2 sugars

14:00 - Tortellini, pasta sauce, cheese (soooo delicious!)

14:15 - 1 glass of tropical juice

19:00 - 1 glass of orange juice, with vitamin C tablet, to fight off Man Flu, which is beginning to hold me with an almost deadly grip...

19:30 - Banana

20:15 - Chicken Korma and rice

20:30 - Ice cream...

23:00 - Black coffee, 2 sugars

So, that was today. Not bad, apart from the curry and ice cream. Like I mentioned, I'm starting to develop Man Flu - I woke up with a running nose, banging head ache and really bad sore throat. I'll let you know how that develops. I also acquired a "Smoothie Maker" today - I'll let you know how that goes when I use it tomorrow :)

Day 12 - Friday 2nd February 2007 (Groundhog's Day!)

Alrighty There People!

What another busy day! No work today, though - retail therapy. But how come retail therapy kills the feet???

Anyway, I was good today. Usually, when participating in retail therapy, I need many sugarised products, to keep the strength up. That may be in the form of a burger and shake from McDonalds, a Snickers, or at this time of year, a Cadbury's Creme Egg or two. Or even all of the above. But today I managed to survive on just a hot chocolate from Burger King and a Millie's cookie (which are, by the way, ridiculously priced!)

Anyway, here are the todays incomings:

09:00 - Shreddies with Semi Skimmed Milk

09:10 - Muller Drink (by the way, these are so much nicer than the bitter Actimel drinks)

12:00 - Cheese, ham, cucumber sandwich

12:15 - Tropical juice drink

12:20 - Kellogg's Oat Bar (now onto the Totally Oaty ones, which aren't as nice as the Raspberry ones)

14:00 - Hot Chocolate (the aforementioned Burger King variety. McDonald's is better)

14:15 - Cookie (erm... Double Chocolate chip... come on, it was a treat!)

18:00 - Chicken, chips, coke x 2 (Nando's - ever been there? Really nice!)

22:25 - 1 glass of water

Okay, so lessons learned today:
When I'm at work, I drink lots of water. When I'm not... I dont.
When out and about, I don't need to pig out on junk food.
Nandos is really cheap - £11.15 for a meal for two!!!

I made my fruit salad tonight, chucking in my melon, pineapple, grapes and an orange. I'll delve into that tomorrow.

I must take some pictures, too, and get them uploaded - not that you'll notice a difference.

Alrighty There People!

Long day today, very long day. I must say, though, that I am pleased with myself. You see, Thursday night is 'Grandma Night', and at Grandma's, she's got a HUGE tin of sweets that get passed around. And tonight - I didn't have ANY. That is self control. That was really hard to do.

I've had a suggestion to put the exercise bike in front of the TV. I just might do that...

Anyway, on to today's incomings:

22:00 - Very small portion of fish and chips (Grandma forced them on me)

So, that was today. I think all in all, I've done really well. I do still need to work on eating more fruit and veg though.

Alrighty There People!

Well, I think I'm slipping slightly. Not so much on the intake, but I'm not taking photo's, which are a source of disgust and therefore motivation to me!, but I'm also not doing any exercise. Well, the only exercise I'm doing is with my thumbs, on my new PlayStation game. Which is probably why I'm not doing any exercise.

They say you only need to do twenty minutes a day. I'm sure I can manage that. Thing is, it's so much easier to cabbage in front of the TV, with the PlayStation, then get up and go on the exercise bike, or go to the Leisure Centre for a swim. Hmmm.

Anyway, as I ponder these thoughts, I'll let you peruse todays incomings:
