Day 9 - Tuesday 30th January 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, still no pics I'm afraid, it has been absolutely manic recently!

Today was a long, tiring day, but I think that I did really well with my consumption.

Didn't do any exercise, so I must make a concentrated effort to do that.

Anyway, today's incomings were:

07:30 - Shreddies with Semi Skimmed Milk (I don't particularly like Shreddies, but they do the job!)
08:30 - 1 small cup of water
09:15 - 1 small cup of water
09:44 - Muller Probiotic Drink
10:00 - 1 small cup of water
11:25 - 1 small cup of water
12:10 - 2 brown bread finger rolls, tuna
12:15 - 1 Kelloggs Oat Bar (they are so nice) (Can I get sponsorship from them perhaps?!)
12:20 - 1/4 Honey Dew Melon
14:00 - 1 small cup of water
14:50 - 1 small cup of water
18:00 - Steak lattice, potatoes, peas, corn on the cob
18:15 - 1 glass of water
23:00 - Hot chocolate (marshmallows, milk and chocolate sprinkly things!)

So what do you think? I'm not doing too bad - I've definitely cut down, I used to eat loads of chocolate and biscuits throughout the day.

The weight hasn't come peeling off though - I suppose I kinda thought it would, but these things take time, don't they!

Targets: More fruit, more exercise.

Day 8 - Monday 29th January 2007

Alrighty There People!

So, I started this exactly one week ago today.

How do I feel? Well, I don't think that I have lost any weight yet, which is a bit disappointing I suppose, but I still feel it's early days, and once I see the weight starting to come off, I hope that that will increase my motivation.

Things I need to work on:Doing more exercise - daily, if possibleEating more fruit

I'll stop there for now, I don't want to inundate myself with goals - one step at a time...

Anyway, today went well during the day - but when it got to the evening, it all went to pot - again, I was helping the mother-in-law get sorted, so things went hectic...

Here goes:

07:40 - 1/2 Bio Yoghurt
07:45 - 1 Actimel Drink (the last one - woohoo!)
08:45 - 1 small cup of water
10:00 - 1 small cup of water
11:27 - 1 small cup of water
11:35 - 2 Brown finger rolls, ham and cucumber
11:45 - Kelloggs Oat Bar
13:19 - 1 small cup of water
13:55 - 1 small cup of water
14:49 - 1 small cup of water
16:15 - 1 Orange
16:24 - 1 small cup of water
18:00 - 2 Slices of toast, with tuna on them
20:10 - MCDONALDS (Aaaargh!) - Quarter Pounder with Cheese and bacon, a few chips, a few sips of coke... and a McFlurry! Nooooooooo...
23:55 - 1 glass of water

Well, apart from the McDonalds, I would say that the day went quite well really...

Let's see if I can improve on that over the next few days.

Day 7 - Sunday 28th January 2007

Alrighty There People!

Sunday was a busy day today, what with helping the mother-in-law move, and this is the first chance I have had to update the blog.

Again, unfortunately, no pics this time - maybe next time I post the pics you might see a vast improvement!

So Sunday's food and water consumption went like this:

09:30 - 1/2 Bio Yogurt - really nice, Strawberry flavour (does that count towards my 5-a-day?!)09:40 - Actimel drink. (Don't really like them, but I've got some better ones now)
14:00 - Vegetable soup and French bread - how continental!
14:10 - 1 glass of Orange juice
20:00 - Chicken Stir fry with rice (mmmmmm....)
20:10 - 1 pint of diluted water
20:30 - 1 glass of water
21:00 - 1 Kelloggs Oat Bar (really, really nice!)
22:00 - Hot chocolate with all the trimmings - marshmallows, chocolate swirls - come on, it's the weekend!

So didn't really eat that much on that day, because I was so busy.

Back to work Monday, where at least I seem to be able to drink loads of water.

You know, apparently, 80% of the time that you think you are hungry, you are actually thirsty... I think I agree with that.

Anyway...

Day 6 - Saturday 27th January 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, I survived Saturday without (much) deviation...

Unfortunately no pics for this blog, but here's todays 'incomings'...

08:00 - Shreddies with Semi Skimmed Milk
08:05 - 1 Actimel Drink
11:45 - 1 Glass of water (diluted)
13:30 - 1 bowl of tortellini in pasta sauce, with grated cheese... yum yum.
13:50 - 1 Low Fat Hazelnut yogurt.
18:45 - 1 banana
18:50 - 1 glass of water
19:30 - Chickem, potatoe, carrots and peas
19:50 - 1 tiny slice of Vienetta, with a tiny scoop of ice cream :)
22:00 - Hot chocolate (erm... with small marshmallows and choccy bits!)

So that was Saturday. Not too bad really, I was kinda dreading it, but it went okay.

Alrighty There People!

Just another quick update cos it's late (again)

Okay, today I think I have done really well, turning down all sorts of goodies all day. Went shopping tonight and bought fruit and stuff, so that's good too.

Today's intake was as follows:

07:50 - Shreddies with Semi Skimmed milk
07:55 - 1 Actimel drink
08:40 - 1 small cup of water
10:00 - 1 small cup of water
11:00 - 1 small cup of water
12:36 - 1 small cup of water
12:50 - 2 white bread rolls, ham and cheese
13:20 - 1/4 honey dew lemon
13:46 - 1 small cup of water
14:50 - 1 small cup of water
16:00 - 1 small cup of water
16:45 - 1 small cup of water
19:15 - Dinner: Chicken, chips, 3 garlic balls
19:20 - Glass of water
21:00 - 1 pint of water
23:00 - Hot chocolate (no milk)

So today I've taken in mostly liquids, and not much solids. Keep this up and I should start seeing the benefits! Rock On.

Weekend starts now, and that's always hard - I usually snack and scoff away. So if you'd like to leave me some encouraging, motivating comments, that would be MUCH appreciated!

Alrighty There People!

What a long day it has been! And for that reason, no pics tonight. I might upload them in the morning.

So, on to the neccessities:

10:00 - 1 small cup of water
11.40 - 1 small cup of water
12:14 - 2 brown bread rolls with ham
12:25 - 1/4 honey dew melon (really nice)
14:30 - 1 small cup of water
16:00 - 1 small cup of water
16:45 - 1 small cup of water
17:55 - 1 chicken kiev, 4 'Smiley Faces'
18:05 - 1 glass of orange juice
20:20 - 1 glass of water
22:00 - 1 glass of water
23:20 - 1 glass of water

So that's it for today. No, I haven't been on the bike - I've done no exercise at all. But I'm shattered and off to bed.

(But I didn't do too bad with the water, did I?)

Day 3 - Wednesday 24th January 2007

Alrighty There People!



Well, I forgot to weigh myself this morning - no big deal, cos I haven't lost any weight yet (obviously!) So I'm only going to weigh myself once a week.



Finally got back on the exercise bike tonight, which I even took a video of, and I'll either post that on here or on YouTube... Anyway, I managed to do two miles, without much of a problem, so I'll carry that on daily, and hopefully push that to five miles quite soon. It's amazing how much it helps to have music playing when on the bike though!



Anyway, today's food and exercise monitor:

07:45 - Breakfast - Shreddies, with semi skimmed milk

07:55 - 1 Actimel drink

10:05 - 1 small cup of water

13:00 - 2 brown bread rolls, with ham and cheese

14:45 - 1 small cup of water

15:34 - 1 small cup of water

16:40 - 1 small cup of water

17:50 - Half a pizza and a handful of chips (not exactly the best meal to have)

17:55 - 1 glass of water

18:10 - 1 Cadbury's Dairy Milk Yoghurt (sin of the day!)

19:50 - 1 pint of water

22:05 - Exercise bike - 10 minutes - 2 miles

22:15 - 1 pint of water

22:20 - Exercise - 50 pressups



Today was really hectic at work, so I didn't have half as much water as I would have liked. And I'm off in a minute to chop up a honeydew melon to incorporate that into the next few days - I need to eat more fruit and veg.

Alrighty There People!


Welcome to Day 2.


Well, it has been just as hard today, and I have had a bit of chocolate, but you'll see that on my food inventory...


Oh, and I forgot to mention - I'm currently a 36" waist, and want to get back down to 32"... Another target to reach...


Anyway, read on for today's eatings, and the latest pics (not that you'll notice much difference.)


I weighed myself again this morning, but I had to adjust the scales first, so yesterday's reading was wrong, but today I made it 14st 0lbs, which is what I thought I was. I'll stick with that, thanks!


07:30 Bowl of Shreddies with Semi Skimmed Milk
07:35 1 Actimel drink
08:17 1 pint of water (that nearly killed me, I nearly choked on that!)
08:53 1 small cup of water
10:07 1 small cup of water
11:32 1 small cup of water
12:30 Heinz Beans on 2 slices of white bread toast
14:01 1 small cup of water
15:29 1 small cup of water
17:55 1 piece of chicken, mashed potato, 1 yorkshire pudding, helping of cabbage
18:07 1 Cadbury's Dairy Milk Buttons yoghurt (ooops!)

22:45 1 cup of black coffee, one sugar


Okay, that's todays listings - I don't think I did too bad really, and I think that my water consumption is pretty good, although I'm going to the loo... well, frequently!

Day 1 - Monday 22nd January 2007

Alrighty There People!

I suppose that this is my first 'official' dietary posting...

So here's how it went down today:

First of all, I weighed myself in at 14st 2lbs.
07:39 - 1 pint of water
07:40 - 1 bowl of Shreddies, with semi skimmed milk
08:54 - 1 small cup of water
10:18 - 1 small cup of water
12:39 - 1 tuna and cucumber sandwich (brown bread)
13:19 - 1 Liquid Breakfast Pro Biotic Yoghurt Drink (mmmmm)
14:53 - 1 small cup of water
16:16 - 1 small cup of water
20:40 - 1 cheeseburger and chips, courtesy of Ronald McDonald (ooops...)
20:45 - 1 pint of water, diluted with Orange
21:07 - 2 slices of toast, thinly buttered
22:06 - 30 Press ups (that's excercise, by the way!)

Analysis:
Okay, so I may have gone off of the rails slightly with the McDonald's food, but I did refuse at work a gorgeous looking massive chunk of chocolate brownie. AND I haven't had any chocolate or biscuits today, despite the fact that there are loads here in the house, and at work. So I think I have done quite well.

I didn't go on my exercise bike though, so hopefully tomorrow will be better in that sense. But I did drink lots of water.

All in all, I think that Day 1 of The Diet has gone quite well, really.

Now I'm going to try and upload these awful pictures....
