The Diet Begins... Again...

Okay, I was going to post this yesterday, but what with it being April Fool's and all that, I thought that you would all think I was joking. When in fact I am serious... deadly serious.

I've kinda let myself go again, and knew that I was eating much more than I should during February and March. Also, I was doing practically zero exercise.
Now, I'm restarting my 'diet', but I've not got any goal in mind - apart from to cut down on rubbish and increase exercise.

Here's how it's going to work:

During the month of April, I will be eating no chocolate, no cakes, no crisps, no rubbish. I will reduce my meal portions. I will only drink water. I will go for a 1.5 mile bike ride twice a week - actually outdoors, on a real bike, and may even use my exercise bike mid-week. That's right, I said I MAY use it - steady as she goes and all that.

So that is my goal.

So on Monday, I tried my bike ride. It's just a short one really, as I said, 1.5 miles. It took me 11 minutes and 29 seconds. My heart rate peaked at 193. I don't know if that's good or bad, but, you know, 193.

So I'll keep you posted on my progress.

After April, I may start allowing treats, but April is the month to kick start my diet.
So far, I've already turned down lots of chocolate, and stopped myself from having treats. I had a banana, an apple and a carrot yesterday, and have got the same today - and I'm determined to eat them today.

So, roll on diet... and roll off... weight...

The New Year. The New Diet

Alrighty There People!

So. How you feeling? Full and fat? Well, join the club. I’m totally bloated, stuffed full of good food, junk food, pleasure food, seasonal food, food food, food food food food. Oh, and did I mention food? Not to mention the occasional glass of wine…

So it was with fear and great trembling that I mounted the scales last night, heaving my immense form onto the small block of plastic beneath my mammoth toes, scales that almost shrieked out in pain under the pressure of the behemoth that I am. The dial spun dizzily, and I wondered if it would ever stop. But stop it did – just shy of 14 stone. Ooof. That’s heavy – far too heavy.

So there and then, without removing my grossly overweight mass from the scales, I made a resolve. It wasn’t silly, it wasn’t over the top, it wasn’t crazy. Rather, it was doable, realistic, attainable. Here’s the plan:

Drinks: The only drink that I will consume is water. I will stop drinking hot chocolate and black coffee, both laden with two spoons of sugar. I will most certainly stop drinking Yazoo, that chocolate drink that is basically cow fat turned brown. I will stop drinking orange juice, which is no doubt heavily peppered with sugars and other weight-adding additives.

Food: I will reduce my portions of breakfast cereal. I will not go back onto the ‘Special K 2 Week Diet’ – I tried it, it didn’t work for me. But it may work for you – I’m not knocking it, as I said, it just wasn’t for me. Chocolate and junk food are forbidden. Totally. Not allowed at the weekend, as previously – totally forbidden. No chocolate, no dry biscuits, nothing. I will attempt to eat five portions of fruit a day – they may be the same fruit, because I’m not really that adventurous, but it will be fruit none the less. Smaller portions, healthier food. And I’ll probably break out that smoothie maker, and make some of those really nice recipes that I downloaded free that I’ve got lying around…

Exercise: I will exercise daily. This actually started yesterday – twenty minutes on the exercise bike. That’s twenty minutes, at a leisurely pace, covering 4.11 miles, and burning a measly 15.3 calories. But it’s a start. Once I’ve managed to shed a few pounds, I’ll see if I can manage a few press-ups every day. I’ll no doubt get back on the Wii, and do the daily fitness training on that – I may even pre-order Wii Fit. BTW, if you haven’t got a Wii, grab one, get on Wii Sports (it comes with it), and give the boxing, tennis, baseball and bowling a shot. It’s a hoot, it’ll get you hot and sweaty, and you may, just may, lose some weight, and enjoy it. I’m up for that.

Basically, then, it’s a new regime. It’s a combined fitness/healthy style of living, to reduce my weight and increase my healthiness.

I got a good tip yesterday. “Take a picture of yourself, with minimal clothes on (boxer shorts only). Print it out, put it on the fridge.”

I did that. The picture is, in a word, grotesque.

If you want to join with me, post your reason in the comments. If you’ve successfully shed a few pounds in the past, post your success tips in the comments. If you want to encourage me, post your encouragement in the comments. If you want to lay into me about having got myself into this state… get lost.

I am The Dieting Man. This year, I will succeed.

Adios!

The Dieting Man.

The Dieting Man: Thursday 1st November 2007

Alrighty There People!

Another successful day, another two silver stars!

I haven't yet uploaded the videos or pics for today's activities, but you'll be able to see them soon on Metacafe.

Today was great, I had no junk food, just cereal for breakfast and lunch, a healthy dinner of two lamp chops, potatoes, peas and sweetcorn, followed by a Magnum - well, I know it's ice cream, but dessert is part of a well rounded out meal, isn't it?

Then we went and did the shopping - that seems to take longer and longer each week - and then it was on the exercise bike. Now, I didn't give it my all this time, so the scores weren't as good - still ten minutes of the bike, but only covering 2.17 miles, and burning 8.1 calories. But never mind, some exercise is better than no exercise.

After that, it was onto the Wii for some Daily Exercise. Now, you may remember that yesterday's age came in at 54 - not good. So today, I was well pleased with my age of... 22! Rock on.

With that victory cheering me on, I proceeded to the punching bags, which went as follows:
Round 1: 30
Round 2: 23
Round 3: 30

Yup, pleased with those results. I think I need to analyse the way I punch, to up those scores a bit though...

On to the fights, and fight one was facing Elisa. Previously, I had found her and easy opponent, but she lasted for two rounds. The first round, I managed to down her twice, whilst she didn't down me at all, so I knew that it would be all over in round 2. It was, and I gained 66 points.

Then it was on to Round 2, where I faced Matt. Now, it turns out that he is the trainer of the boxing - no wonder he's so hard to defeat! I managed to not get KO'd the first time he downed me, but the second time, I wasn't so lucky. It was all over before the bell sounded for the end of round 1. Humiliated, I exited the ring, stripped of 63 points, leaving me with 1501. Which still isn't bad really, is it?

So, roll on tomorrow, another day, another two silver stars!

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

The Dieting Man: Wii Boxing and The Special K Diet: Thursday 11th October 2007

Alrighty There People!

Thought I’d update you with the latest.

First of all, bad news. No milk and no Special K means that this morning’s breakfast was jam on toast.

More bad news: I didn’t go on the Wii last night – I’ve just been so shattered recently, that I’ve been going to bed mega early. Well, mega early for me, anyway.

I’ve just read this article on getting better sleep, so I’m going to put these into practice and see what happens…

Okay, onto the good news: I went on the exercise bike last night! Ten minutes. It’s been ages since I was last on it, so I took it easy – only just breaking a sweat. But I was checking out the ‘on board computer’ – sounds snazzy, but it’s not – and according to that I only burnt 7 calories. So how long would I need to go on to burn off an entire chocolate bar? Hours or days?!

More good news: I was talking to my wife last night about my weight, and saying that I want to go back down to 9 stone, which is what I was when we met. She wasn’t happy – she said that I was ‘a rake’ when we met, and the lowest she wants me to go is 11.5 stone. So that’s my goal: To lose 2.5 stone. Which doesn’t sound that bad really. Not compared to what some of these guys did in a short space of time…

So. From today, Thursday October 11th 2007, it’s no more junk food AT ALL. It’s going to be healthy food. No more coffee, hot chocolates, chocolate milkshakes or coffee mochas - it’s going to be lots of water and lots of smoothies. I’m going to try and eat 5 pieces of fruit and/or veg each day. I’m going to go on the exercise bike for at least ten minutes each day, no matter how wrecked I am, and I’m going to do Wii Boxing every day, again, regardless of how tired or exhausted I am. Nobody said that losing weight was going to be easy, and until now I’ve been just messing around. But I intend to get fit, keep fit, and lose some of this flab. Yeah!

And, of course, I’ll keep you posted.

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

Day 08 - Wednesday 8th August 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, I had planned on going out on my bike after work, or at least going on my exercise bike... but I didn't. Why? Well... I just didn't. You know what it is though, you've spent the full day working, whether that's in the office, out and about or whatever. You come home, get changed (cos who wants to stay in their work clothes? Ugh), either get dinner ready, or, if it's ready, eat it. Then what? Options available: Go on the exercise bike. Go out on the bike. Watch a DVD. Go on the PlayStation. Go on the Wii. Come on, what do you think wins? Put it this way, it's not the exercise options. BUT IT SHOULD BE! That's what I need to get into my head. I shouldn't think, "Ah, sit down, get comfortable, let that meal just build up layers and layers of fat..." I should be thinking "NO! BURN that fat! SLIM that waist! PUT that Wiimote down - GET out their and RIDE!"

THAT is the attitude that I need.... Ah, soon, soon...

On to today's incomings:

07:30 - 2 Weetabix and semi skimmed milk

09:00 - 1 glass of water

10:00 - 1 glass of water

11:20 - 1 glass of water

12:30 - 1 glass of water

13:00 - Ham and cheese baguette (from Greggs...)

13:10 - Fudge donut (noooo! Greggs! EVIL!)

13:30 - 1 glass of water

14:30 - Banana

15:30 - 1 glass of water

16:10 - 1 glass of water

16:40 - 1 apple

I didn't write down what I had for dinner... but it wouldn't have been bad. Too bad.

Check out the scales below. Rubbish.

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

Day 03 - Wednesday 01 August 2007

Alrighty There People.

Today was a harsh day. It started with my wife's grandmother having fall this morning (she's 93). She was getting some air at the front door when she fell backwards and landed on her hand. She phoned the doctor, who told her to be there at 3.00. When she got there, he sent her to A&E for an X Ray. When I finished work at 5.00, she still hadn't been seen. I checked the electronic board, and she was 4th in line to be seen. When I checked again ten minutes later, she was 11th. What a great system.

Anyway, we had to go then, because we needed to look for a new sofa, and Wednesday evenings are the ONLY time we can do that. We got a text at seven, saying that she had been seen, that the finger was broken, and that she needed to go back tomorrow at 11. Because that makes sense...

Anyway, because we were out and about, we just grabbed a McDonalds (groan), I gave my wife a quick driving lesson, and then we got back in at about 8pm and crashed out.

But here are today's incomings:

Weight: 13.10 (Aaargh!)
07:05 - Breakfast - 2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk
07:45 - Press ups x 40
09:00 - 1 glass of water
10:00 - 1 glass of water
11:00 - 1 tangerine
11:10 - 1 glass of water
12:40 - 2 brown bread rolls with ham and cucumber
12:55 - 2 Mr Tom's. Crunchy nuts with caramel. Lovely.
13:00 - 1 glass of water
13:10 - Banana
15:00 - 1 glass of water
15:35 - 1 Apple
16:00 - 1 glass of water
16:15 - 1 tangerine
18:00 - Big Mac, Fries
22:00 - Prawn coctail Wotsits, coffee mocha, 2 biscuits

I feel that I did really well throughout the day, but then when I finished work it went a bit pearshaped. But I had a good fruit intake today, and I'm keeping up with drinking plenty of water.

Pictures from the scales below...

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

Day 02 - Tuesday 31 July 2007

Alrighty There People.

Okay, well, after the (relative) success of yesterday comes today's offerings... I must say, I was quite pleased with yesterday. I know that I did not go on the exercise bike, which was a shame, nor did I eat entirely healthily... but I was pleased.

Oh, and did I mention that I now have a Nintendo Wii? Yes, I have... and maybe I can lose some weight playing Wii Sports or something (or SSX Blur... cool game...)

Anyway, I was shocked and disappointed to see the scales today (check out the image below, and compare that to yesterday... what do you think?)

Here we go:

Weight: 13.8
07:45 - Breakfast - 1/2 a biopot low fat strawberry yogurt
08:10 - Press ups x 30
12:30 - Ham and cucumber rolls (x2) (brown bread)
12:45 - Packet of peppermint creme poppets...
12:50 - Peppermint Creme bar...
13:10 - Banana
13:30 - 1 glass of water
14:47 - 2 glasses of water
15:10 - 1 tangerine
15:35 - 1 glass of water
16:38 - 1 apple
17:00 - 1 tangerine
18:00 - Pork steaks, new potatoes, carrots
18:15 - 1 Rolo yogurt
21:30 - 1 mocha and three biscuits...

Again, not fantastic, but check out the four pieces of fruit and the veg with me dinner! Get in - that's over the recommended 5 a Day! Rock on.

Anyway, here's the image that I took whilst on the scales this morning... I can't understand it...

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

The Diet – Wednesday 13th June 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, I must say that I think that this new regime is going swimmingly. For a start, I’m hungry ALL the time, so by not feeding myself my body is having to burn my excess body fat, but secondly, when I get these hunger pangs, I just drink a glass of water, and the feelings fade. However, I am going to the loo more frequently, but that’s fine with me too.

Today was quite good, but kinda went downhill towards the end – the result of a late dinner and lack of desire to actually put any effort into a meal… read on for more details on that.

Incidentally, the weather has been atrocious, stotting it down all day, so I wasn’t able to get out on the bike this evening. Never mind, maybe tomorrow.

Anyway, on to today’s intakings:

07:30 – Breakfast: Hazelnut yogurt

07:50 – EXERCISE – 50 PRESSUPS

09:15 – Glass of water

09:40 - Glass of water

11:15 - Glass of water

11:25 – Chocolate Snack A Jack

12:10 – 1 Apple

12:45 - Glass of water

12:55 – 1 Plum

14:00 – Chocolate Snack A Jack

14:05 – Glass of water

14:45 - Glass of water

16:05 - Glass of water

16:30 – Chocolate Snack A Jack

16:45 – Packet of raisins

16:50 – 1 Tangerine
20:30 – Dinner: Quarter pounder with cheese, fries and coke L

22:00 – Chocolate milkshake (really weak. More milky than anything)

Okay, so looking back over that, it doesn’t seem too balanced really. 3 Chocolate Snack A Jacks (but they are only 62 calories each!), McDonalds for dinner, and the scoop of Nutella that I didn’t mention earlier…

But, seven glasses of water, low fat yogurt, four pieces of fruit (can I also count the lettuce in the Quarter Pounder? Yes? Okay, that makes my Five A Day!)

All in all, I don’t think it was too bad.

And let me let you into a little secret…. I weighed myself this morning (Thursday)… 13.5 stone! That means that I have actually lost half a stone. Rock on!

I’ll keep you updated with my progress – I just wish I had been this strict with myself earlier…

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

The Dieting Man

The Diet - Tuesday 12th June 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, after yesterday's great start to my new regime, things can only get better... Apart from the fact that I was rudely awakened at 6.00 this morning by thunder. Now, I hate thunder, it really scares the pants off me, and lightning is even worse - I am convinced that I am going to get struck by lightning one day. Reason? When I was a kid, I jammed a knife in the toaster, shorting the electrics in the house. It should have fried me. Then, a few years later, I - *TWICE* - ran over the lead of the lawnmower, slicing right through it on both occassions. I reckon, then, that electricity thinks that it owes me one - and it's gonna get revenge. Soon. Damn. So anyway, back to this morning - three loud, long rolls of thunder and one flash of lightning. I was hiding under the duvet cakking myself. But, it then stopped, and I went back to sleep...

Anyway, enough of that - on to today's takings:

07:10 - Breakfast: The other half of yesterday's yogurt

07:40 - EXERCISE - 50 PRESSUPS

08:30 - 1 glass of water

10:45 - 1 glass of water

12:00 - Lunch: 1 Apple, 1 Plum

14:05 - 1 glass of water

14:50 - 1 glass of water

16:50 - 1 Snack A Jack (Chocolate flavour, 62 cals)

18:00 - Dinner: Chicken Curry with rice

18:10 - 1 glass of juice

18:25 - 1 chocolate Magnum

20:20 - 1 glass of water

22:00 - 1 flapjack

Well, that was today. I must admit, I was starving - or, as I like to say, Starvenga - throughout the day, but I managed to resist the urge to pig out and kept it right. I didn't do my evening exercise, I was too tired, but I'll keep it up throughout the week. I haven't weighed myself, but I think I'm still at the 14 stone mark - I need to drop that drastically in the next month. So hopefully I can do that by keeping this up!

I'll keep you posted with my progress, and I'll upload a picture soon.

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

The Dieting Man

The Diet - Monday 11th June 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, I haven't posted recently - regarding my diet anyway - and it's time to get back on track. I haven't particularly gone off of the rails, but my holiday is looming, and I have decided that I need to do something almost drastic. Food intake is going to be significantly reduced, significantly junk reduced, and significantly healthy.

I am also going to be doing more exercise, starting with pressups every morning and evening. I would like to get out on my brand spanking new bike, which I have only been out on once so far, but the weather has been atrocious. But I now have a bike rack for the car, which is fantastic, so I can travel around and go for bike rides too... Cue the Lake District in a few weeks!

Anyway, although this is actually Wednesday, I am listing my intake from Monday, which went as follows:

07:50 - Breakfast: Half a biopot yogurt, zero fat, strawberry

07:50 - EXERCISE - 40 PRESSUPS

09:10 - 1 glass of water

10:05 - 1 glass of water

11:10 - 1 glass of water

12:00 - Lunch: 1 pasta and tuna salad (although it was actually for two, so that may have not been so good...)

12:40 - 1 glass of water

14:20 - 1 glass of water

15:00 - 1 Smoothie (comprising of strawberries, natural yogurt and chocolate ice cream... so nice...)

18:00 - Dinner: Chicken, sweetcorn and boiled potatoes

18:15 - 1 glass of fruit juice

19:45 - Dessert: Strawberries and Cream and Meringue

22:00 - 3 Ryvita biscuits with DairyLea spread on them

23:00 - EXERCISE - 40 PRESSUPS

Well, that is all that I ate - I thought that I did really well. I'm trying to concentrate on drinking more water at work - they say that 70% of the time that you are hungry, your brain is actually confused and you are really thirsty. I may have mentioned that before...

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

134 Delicious Smoothie Recipes!

Well, as part of my healthy eating endeavour, I got myself a Smoothie maker, but couldn't find many decent smoothie recipes.

So, I scoured the internet, found some, and put them together into an ebook.

DOWNLOAD THE FREE EBOOK HERE!

So download it, pass it on - and if you know of any more recipes, let me know and I'll put them into another book.

Oh, and there's some pretty weird ones in there, but the Coffee smoothie is really nice. But you might want to add some sugar...

The Diet - Wednesday 23rd May 2007

Alrighty There People!

Well, today was bad. Not for the diet, for me. You see, I've got a cluster of skin tags on my neck - they haven't been too bad, but vanity got the better of me and I wanted to get rid of them. So Monday I toddled off to the doctors, and saw him about them. He said not a problem, I'll freeze them. It only takes 20 seconds each. Come back Wednesday. Great. So today, I again toddle off to the doctors for my 2.30 appointment. I wait patiently for the Doc, and get called into his office. There on the desk is a menacing looking cannister, resembling a black hand-held fire extinguisher. Gulp. He said it wouldn't hurt - he grabbed my hand, and sprayed onto my hand. Didn't hurt. Great.

So I expose my neck, and he started spraying at these six skin tags. Now, at first it felt like someone was blowing on my neck through a straw. Fine. But after about 15 seconds, it felt as if someone was blowtorching my neck. Not pleasant in the slightest. I was gritting my teeth.

"It might sting a little," the doc then chipped in. A LITTLE??? Hello! I'm on FIRE! Anyway, so then he's done them all.

"Are they off?" I ask, somewhat surprised.

"No no," he laughs. "It will take about 4 days. If, though, they are still there in 4 weeks, or if any more come, just come back."

So I drive back to work - and my neck now feels like there are a thousand forest fires raging on it. It's like I've been slashed with ten thousand razor blades. It's as though I have one hundred thousand paper cuts... okay, maybe I'm being a bit dramatic, but it did really hurt. I'm having difficulty turning my head. I get back to work, my boss takes one look at me, and sends me home. Woohoo! But it doesn't stop the pain.

I get home, my wife takes one look and backs away from me - physically backs away - as I have the plague. Then she takes the pictures (below). Not pleasant. My neck continued burning until about 8 oclock.

They're fine today (Thursday), although one of them - the huge one - was bleeding earlier. I'll let you know when they drop off.

Anyway, on to today's eating habits:

07:45 - Coco Pops with semi skimmed milk

08:45 - 1 glass of water

09:30 - 1 glass of water

10:30 - 1 glass of water

11:10 - 2 biscuits

12:20 - Pasta

12:30 - Chocolate yogurt

13:20 - 1 glass of water

17:00 - Pasty, potatoes, peas

17:20 - Chocolate yogurt

20:00 - 1 glass of water

21:00 - Chocolate ice cream

22:00 - Snickers

Okay, I didn't do too well today, but I hope to improve... Keep checking back on my progress!

Until tomorrow,

The Dieting Man

Come on though, it's sooooo nice! But you can't beat Fry's Peppermint Creme - unfortunately I didn't have any of that.

Anyway, I was quite pleased with this today, and hope to see some good results from this soon.

Until tomorrow,

Wednesday 9th May 2007

Alrighty There People!

First of all, my apologies. I forgot to take a picture of the scales. So I have no idea how much I weigh today. Sorry.

But, good news - I walked to and from work today! Took me 1 and a half hours in total, but really enjoying it - not stressing me out at all, and it's great.

I think that I did really well with my eating as well today - hardly any junk.

So anyway, here are today's incomings:

06:15 - Rice Krispies with semi skimmed milk

07:00 - EXERCISE - WALK TO WORK

07:55 - 1 glass of water

08:50 - 1 glass of water

19:00 - Chicken Stir Fry with Rice

19:20 - Can of Coke

19:30 - Chocolate yogurt

22:30 - Glass of Red Wine

So that was my day. What do you think? Can of coke and chocolate yogurt were my only real bad bits. I'm happy with that intake, alongside the exercise. I'm feeling goo physically, and mentally too.

Rock On!

Until tomorrow,

Today was fantastic. Only two slip ups really, and not too bad at that!

First of all, I forgot to mention that I walked to work again on Friday, so that was twice last week. It takes about 45 minutes each way, and I listen to Chris Moyles on the way in and Scott Mills on the way out - cool.

Anyway, I'll be keeping that up this week, I'll be walking tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday. I just hope its not gonna rain!

Anyway, on to today's incomings:

07:30 - Rice Krispies with semi skimmed milk

08:30 - Glass of Water

10:00 - Glass of Water

10:50 - Hazelnut Yogurt

11:25 - Glass of Water

17:50 - Glass of juice

18:10 - Thin slice of mint Vienetta

22:00 - Black coffee

So. Two pieces of fruit, two healthy low fat yogurts, a fair bit of water, two portions of veggies... and only a couple of naughty treats. Mind you, that ASDA Smart Price chocolate is delicious, and at only 25p a bar, it's great!

I forgot to weigh myself last night - what kind of hard core dieter am I? - so I will try and remember that tonight and post pictures of that tomorrow.

Until tomorrow,

The Bank Holiday Weekend

Alrighty There People!

Well, what can I say - I haven't been keeping track.

Star Wars Day was fantastic, I just felt good all day, and I didn't eat too badly. The weekend wasn't too bad either, but Bank Holiday Monday went pear shaped. McDonalds for lunch, Pizza Hut for dinner - what on earth was I thinking!

So it's now Tuesday morning, and I've got two rolls, two plums, two tangerines and two yogurts to last me throughout the day. I am NOT going to eat any junk, and I've told my colleagues that, and I am determined.

So check back tomorrow to see how I did!

Oh, and Clare, I'll check my weight tonight, and post a picture of what the scales say!

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

Now, I took a different route, and it took me about 40 minutes each way, so I'm pretty pleased with that. Stuff the recommended 30 minutes of everyday sport - try 1 hour 20! Rock on. So over the moon with myself for that one. I'm gonna do it again on Friday - in fact, I'm going to do it every Wednesday and Friday this month. Your support would be much - like, really much - appreciated.

Alrighty There People!

Well, I can't understand it. I've lost my takings sheet for Monday! I know I did well as well. Hmmm. I'll have a hunt around and if I find it, I'll post it.

How's this for a new idea? Thinking of standing on the scales each day, taking a picture, and uploading it. What do you think of that?? I think I'm putting more weight on than I'm taking off, which is really discouraging.

At the weekend, I was out in the garden mowing the lawn, which had grown to astronomical proportions. So I spent about 4 hours in the garden doing vigourous work, for which I was suffering on Sunday...

Anyway, on to today's takings, which I am sure you are keen to peruse...:

07:30 - Rice Krispies with Semi Skimmed milk

08:30 - 1 glass of water

10:00 - Blue Ribband

10:15 - 1 biscuit

10:30 - 1 glass of water

11:00 - 2 Go Ahead bars

11:40 - 1 glass of water

12:00 - 2 Brown bread rolls, with Dairy Lea, Cheese and Cucumber... nice!

12:10 - KitKat

12:30 - Hazelnut yogurt

15:00 - Kinder Bar

15:10 - 1 glass of water

18:00 - Potatoes, pastie, carrots, broccolli and cauliflower

18:20 - Chocolate yogurt

18:30 - 1 pint of diluted orange juice

21:00 - 1 packet of Smarties

21:30 - 1 hot chocolate

Looking back over today, I would say that it was really really bad. Terrible, in fact. Ooops. I need to cut back on fats, sugars, and junk, and concentrate on healthy food, fruit, and exercise. The flab will come off!

Until tomorrow,

Adios!

Alrighty There People!

Today was a successful day! I am really pleased with myself. Not only did I eat (relatively) healthily, but I went on the exercise bike! Okay, it wasn't for very long - just ten minutes - but nevertheless, it was still on the exercise bike.

Here's how the day went:

07:30 - Rice Krispies with semi skimmed milk

08:30 - 1 glass of water

09:50 - 1 glass of water

10:30 - 1 glass of water

10:40 - 1 ginger biscuit

11:20 - 2 plums (fruit!!!)

12:00 - 2 brown bread rolls, with ham and cucumber

12:40 - 1 packet of M&M's (Ooops)

13:00 - 1 packet of fruit pastils (erm...)

13:55 - 1 glass of water

15:40 - 1 glass of water

16:35 - 1 glass of water

17:00 - EXERCISE BIKE - 10 mins, 2.39 miles!!!

20:00 - Pasta

20:15 - Orange juice

21:00 - slice of chocolate cake

Okay, I'll admit that it wasn't brilliant, but it wasn't too bad either, really. I'm over the moon about the exercise bike, and I'm gonna try walking to work again at least twice next week. I know that I ate a bit of junk - M&Ms, fruit pastils and chocolate cake, but I drank loads of water, I ate healthily in general, and I included fruit.

I feel good!

Until tomorrow,

Adios!
